REVIEWS :

"Silenced" is a glimpse into LULL's dark underworld. A thick stew of clouds black liquid gently undulating while machines pant & labour at their arcane purposes. You are taken on a journey through LYNCH's ambient darkside - MICK HARRIS, the human at the controls of this dehumanized soundtrack admits LYNCH, and more specifically "Eraserhead" - are the major influence on this project. The atmosphere changes - if this was air you'd probably either choke or trip out on it. "Outerbounds" finds you caught between panning waves of dark noise, which move like mighty beasts with unfathomable intentions (towards you). This is the stuff of nightmares; this is the stuff of dread; this is a doorway held open onto vista's the human eye should never behold this side of sanity's outer limits. A netherworld beyond our experience. LULL are more at home over the longer canvas of an album, but shorter works force events to arrive earlier; images to appear sooner than might have been the case. This is a concise glimpse into the dark region of one of our greatest Isolationist composers - if you know LULL then you'll want to buy it - if you don't, then this is a good starting point from which to explore.
