REVIEWS :

Fall Of Because was formed by Paul Neville and GC Green and gained its thrid member in 1983 when Justin Broadrick joined. The band developed along side Justin's other band at the time Napalm Death. The recordings here are pretty much the foundations for what would become Godflesh. Although these recordiing are pretty roughly mixed and contain what the linear notes descibe as "considerable dropouts and hiss" it does, as it says, "help capture the age and atmosphere of these recordings."

Fall Of Because split in 87 when Justin left Napalm Death to sit behind the drum kit for Head Of David, but got back pretty soon after when just Justin and GC Green would change their name to Godflesh. and the rest is history.

This CD wont be for everyone, but for fans of early Godflesh: Like Rats, Christbait Rising etc, this CD is a must and provides a great aural document to the musical skills of Justin Broadrick & GC Green and where it would take them in the form of the groundbreaking metal-industrial crossover they would produce as the mighty Godflesh.
